The event, backed by Galicia's leading institutions, revealed key details about the title race at the Coliseum, where two teams will compete for promotion to the Liga Endesa between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
With the statue of María Pita dressed in Leyma Coruña colors welcoming attendees, A Coruña's City Hall served as the launch point for the Liga Primera FEB Final Four on Friday morning. The event was officially presented with support from various political authorities in the region and was presided over by Inés Rey, the city's mayor, who emphasized the importance of hosting such a prestigious event in a city fighting to return its team to the Liga Endesa.
The local mayor was accompanied by Antonio Leida, Sports Deputy for A Coruña, and Roberto Fernández, General Secretary of Sports for the Xunta. Both welcomed the three teams completing the sporting event to the province during a weekend described as special by Julio Bernández, president of the Galician Basketball Federation.
Between Saturday night and Sunday afternoon, Leyma Coruña will compete for a Liga Endesa promotion spot alongside Súper Agropal Palencia, Movistar Estudiantes, and Alimerka Oviedo in a Final Four that can be followed live on LaLiga+ and which Hanna Balhaus, FEB competitions director, has called a great celebration of basketball.
All that remains is for the opening tip-off to begin the spectacle.
