ACB: Baskonia Eyes Center Yoan Makoundou, Also on Barcelona's Radar

The transfer market remains active in the Liga Endesa as Baskonia works to strengthen its interior game for the final stretch of the season. The Vitoria-based club is studying the signing of a center who can add depth to Paolo Galbiati's rotation, though any signing could only be registered for ACB League competition.

One of the names that has appeared on the radar of the Gasteiz club is French center Yoan Makoundou, currently without a team after recently terminating his contract with AS Monaco. The player became a free agent days ago and his situation has sparked the interest of several teams in the European market.

According to various reports, FC Barcelona also is closely following the situation. The Blaugrana club had already shown interest in Makoundou last summer, before the player returned to the Monegasque team following his loan spell at Türk Telekom.

The French player, developed at Cholet Basket, has played for projects including Monaco, Budućnost, and Türk Telekom, where he had one of his best seasons in Europe. In the current campaign, he had appeared in five games with the Principality club, averaging 6.2 points and 1.8 rebounds.
