ANDORRA. Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos secured a dramatic victory over MoraBanc Andorra 83-85 in a direct battle for survival in the Liga Endesa. The team coached by Porfi Fisac dominated by 13 points in the first quarter, suffered the local comeback, and ultimately survived a tense finish thanks to two crucial defensive plays.
The victory leaves San Pablo Burgos very close to mathematically securing survival and seriously complicates MoraBanc Andorra's chances.
The game started with a very aggressive MoraBanc Andorra, aware of the importance of the matchup. The hosts quickly went up 4-0 and also drew two personal fouls on Gudmundsson in just a minute and a half.
But Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos remained calm. The Burgos team quickly elevated its defensive level and began to punish Andorra's offensive struggles to turn the score around and take the lead (6-12).

The game then entered a climax of maximum tension. San Pablo Burgos stayed alive and Gonzalo Corbalán tied the game from the free-throw line (83-83) in the final minute.
The visiting defense appeared at the crucial moment. The Burgos team recovered the ball and Happ scored the decisive basket to make it 83-85 with eight seconds remaining. MoraBanc Andorra still had the final shot of the game, but Evans' three-pointer from deep range missed the rim and the victory traveled to Burgos.
