Paolo Galbiati will continue as head coach of Kosner Baskonia next season. The Italian coach used his media appearance to put an end to rumors that had emerged in recent weeks about a possible departure from the Vitoria-based club.
"I'm going to cancel the noise. [...] I've spoken with the president. I'm going to continue," Galbiati said after the meeting, making it clear that his future remains tied to the Baskonia project.
Furthermore, when asked directly whether the club had guaranteed his continuity for the 2026-27 season, the coach responded emphatically: "Yes".
The coach's statements come after several days of speculation about Baskonia's bench, where information had even appeared pointing to possible alternatives for next season. However, the conversation held with Josean Querejeta has served to clear any doubt about the Italian coach's continuity.
Galbiati, who has a contract with the Vitoria-based club until 2027, will continue leading a project that has already made an impact this season after winning the Copa del Rey and returning Baskonia to the fight for top positions in Spanish basketball.
