MURCIA. UCAM Murcia continues writing historic pages in the Liga Endesa. The team coached by Sito Alonso defeated Girona 86-75 in a hard-fought contest and reached 22 regular season wins, the best record in the club's ACB history. The victory also allows the university team to provisionally move into second place in the standings, pending the outcome of the Valencia Basket vs. Baskonia matchup.

The game started with considerable difficulties for UCAM Murcia. Girona came out strong, capitalizing on several defensive lapses by the home team to take early leads (3-9). The Catalan squad also found an important source of production on the offensive glass, constantly punishing second-chance opportunities and forcing the Murcia team to survive in an uncomfortable situation from the opening minutes.

However, UCAM Murcia once again demonstrated the competitive character that has defined their entire season. With Dylan Ennis and, especially, an inspired Radebaugh leading the offensive comeback, the university team managed to level the game before the end of the first quarter (18-18). The shooting guard was the team's primary offensive engine throughout the first half, taking on responsibility and punishing from beyond the arc with spectacular accuracy.

The game became a physical and grinding battle. Girona constantly disrupted Murcia's offensive flow with aggressive defense on David DeJulius, who struggled to find rhythm due to constant help defense and physical contact. Additionally, the absence of Cacok was particularly felt in the interior game and in creating offensive spacing.

Despite this, UCAM Murcia managed to go into halftime with a lead (45-41), sustained primarily by Radebaugh's extraordinary performance, who shot a devastating 5 of 6 from three-point range during the first half.

After the break came the turning point of the game. UCAM Murcia elevated their defensive intensity, accelerated their offensive pace, and finally found greater fluidity in attack. David DeJulius began to get into the game, finding important points from the free throw line, while three-point accuracy continued to be a decisive weapon for Sito Alonso's team.

Hands, Nakic, and once again a red-hot Radebaugh punished from three-point range to open a gap that began to look decisive. The university team reached a ten-point lead and managed to impose their pace against a Girona team that was beginning to show signs of fatigue and difficulty containing Murcia's perimeter shooting (68-58).

In the fourth quarter, UCAM Murcia maturely managed the advantage they had built. The university team maintained control of the scoreboard and prevented any serious comeback attempt by the visitors to secure another victory of enormous value in the Liga Endesa (86-75).

The only negative note for Sito Alonso's team came once again on the defensive glass. Girona finished with 27 offensive rebounds and clearly dominated that aspect, although it was not enough to challenge Murcia's victory.

With this win, UCAM Murcia reaches 22 regular season victories and sets the best record in their entire ACB history with still a month of competition remaining. The university team remains fully engaged in the fight for top positions and keeps alive the objective of securing home-court advantage in the Liga Endesa playoffs.

Now, the Murcia team awaits the result between Valencia Basket and Baskonia, a crucial matchup in the battle for second place. Meanwhile, UCAM Murcia continues to establish itself as one of the great surprises of the season in the ACB.
