Aleksa Ilić Joins Río Breogán

The international Montenegrin power forward will wear the light blue jersey in the 2026/27 Liga Endesa season.

Aleksa Ilić is a 6'9" power forward, 29 years old, with a solid track record in the Adriatic League and a regular player for Montenegro's national team.

Ilić comes from SC Derby Podgorica, where he was the second-best rated player last season with an average rating of 20, averaging 15.2 points and 8 rebounds in 26 games played, with a shooting success rate of 72.6% from two-pointers, 77% from free throws, and nearly two blocks per game on average.

The new Río Breogán player spent much of his career at Budućnost and has extensive experience in European competitions such as the EuroCup, EuroLeague, and Basketball Champions League.

Ilić is a center with great size, a strong defender and intimidating presence with notable mobility; a good defender who also stands out for his rebounding talent and scoring ability, being particularly effective in positions close to the basket.

With the addition of Ilić, which joins the renewals of Brankovic, Alonso, Mavra, Aranitovic, and Andric, Breogán's sports management continues working to build a competitive high-level team for the 2026/27 season, the sixth consecutive year in the top category and coinciding with the celebration of the blue club's 60th anniversary.
