The small forward signs a two-year deal with an optional third year with Penya. An established ACB shooter arrives to strengthen the green-and-black project
Asisa Joventut Badalona and Álex Reyes have reached an agreement for the small forward to wear the green-and-black jersey on a contract featuring two guaranteed seasons and an optional third year.
Álex Reyes (Cáceres, 17/12/1993) is an established player in the Liga Endesa, capable of bringing experience, solidity, and versatility to the perimeter game. The Palencia-born wing just completed his best ACB season, finishing the campaign with 13.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and an impressive 39.9% from three-point range.
Reyes stands out for his ability to space the floor with three-point shooting, his off-ball movement, and excellent basketball IQ—qualities that align with Joventut's competitive identity and playing style.
Developed through Valladolid's youth system, where he made his ACB debut at age 17, Reyes exemplifies a player who worked hard to reach the highest level. He spent seasons in EBA, LEB Plata, and LEB Oro before signing with Bilbao Basket in 2020, where he played four years before joining BAXI Manresa. In total, he has 196 official games in the Liga Endesa before arriving in Badalona.
This past year he established himself as one of the most reliable Spanish small forwards in the competition. The arrival of Álex Reyes strengthens Penya's perimeter with an experienced and committed profile that will bring balance, work ethic, and a quality boost to the roster.
