Armoni Brooks Could Leave ASVEL as Real Madrid Shows Interest

Armoni Brooks could become another casualty of the turmoil at ASVEL Villeurbanne. The American wing, who recently signed with the French club, could depart before even making his debut, with Real Madrid emerging as one of the most interested teams in his situation.

According to information from Alessandro Maggi, Brooks is likely to leave, with strong interest from Real Madrid. The case fits within the delicate context at ASVEL, which has already seen Sylvain Francisco depart for Panathinaikos after previously signing with the French club. ASVEL's financial situation could also affect other key players in their new project, including Brooks himself.

Brooks arrives after a strong season with Olimpia Milano, the team he competed with in the 2025/26 season before signing with ASVEL. In EuroLeague, he appeared in 38 games, averaging 13.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 22.6 minutes, plus an excellent 41.6% from three-point range.

He also performed at a high level in the Italian league. In the LBA, he played 29 games and posted 16 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists, shooting 37.4% from three.
