Arthur Kaluma Earns Two-Way Deal with Los Angeles Lakers

Arthur Kaluma has converted his impressive Summer League performance into a real opportunity with the Los Angeles Lakers. The wing has reached an agreement with the Los Angeles franchise to sign a two-way contract after a solid stretch in Las Vegas.

Kaluma averaged 18.6 points in the Summer League, with a notable 50% three-point shooting percentage—numbers that ultimately convinced the Lakers to give him a pathway to the NBA.

The player had already been making a strong impression during the 2025/26 season with the South Bay Lakers, the team's G League affiliate. There he averaged 13.8 points and shot 37.8% from three-point range, establishing himself as a perimeter player with the ability to space the floor.

His profile fits a clear need for JJ Redick's roster: physical players with size on the perimeter and outside shooting threat. If he maintains this trajectory, Kaluma could see minutes sooner than expected on a team seeking depth and shooting.

That said, the Lakers will need to make a move before officially finalizing the agreement. The franchise has all three two-way spots filled, so one of Chris Mañon, AK Okereke, or Peter Suder will have to vacate their position.

Kaluma, meanwhile, has earned the reward for his growth: an opportunity to split time between the G League and appearances in the NBA while trying to make his mark in Los Angeles.
