iLerna Lleida Signs Aurimas Majauskas on Non-Guaranteed Contract

iLerna Lleida continues to bolster its frontcourt. The Lleida club has reached an agreement with Aurimas Majauskas for the Lithuanian big man to join on a non-guaranteed contract that, if validated, would tie him to the maroon-and-white squad through June 2027, according to the club's announcement.

It will be his first experience in the Liga Endesa, arriving at an unusual age for a debut: 33 years old. His fit, however, is clear. He is a power forward who can play center, physical and mobile, a good finisher near the rim with the ability to step out and shoot three-pointers without being a specialist.

What he brings from Neptunas

His calling card is the season just completed in Klaipeda. In the Lithuanian league he averaged 7.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and a 10.1 rating in 19 minutes across 22 games, and in the EuroCup he slightly elevated his production to 8.6 points and 3.2 rebounds. His best continental performance came against Slask Wroclaw, with 16 points and a 18 rating.

A globe-trotter across seven countries

Few Liga Endesa résumés will have as many stops. Developed in the NCAA with the Sam Houston Bearkats between 2013 and 2017, Majauskas has played in Serbia with Dynamic, in Iceland with Njardvik, in Ukraine with Zaporizhia, in England with the London Lions and in Latvia, in addition to several stints in his native country with Vytis, Jonava, Gargzdai and Neptunas itself.

The structure of his contract, the same one Valencia has used with Elias Valtonen, leaves the outcome in his hands: the preseason, which Lleida began yesterday with medical examinations, will determine whether Gerard Encuentra's team confirms him for the entire season.
