Sports Director's Statement
"Bastien Vautier is a center who comes from playing EuroLeague basketball with ASVEL Villeurbanne. I believe he will give us scoring near the basket. He has good footwork there and is very effective, plus he's strong in pick-and-roll continuations. We also believe he's a player who gives us passing ability from low-post and high-post situations. He's a very good passer. And of course, I think he brings us solidity on the boards, where he especially stands out in offensive rebounding. We believe he fits perfectly with our defensive philosophy, and that he and Tryggvi form a very solid center pairing that will give us strength in the paint. We're very happy with his signing and looking forward to him playing his best basketball in Bilbao."
