Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with international shooting guard Brancou Badio (1.91m, Rufisque, 17/02/1999, 27 years old) from Senegal to extend his contract with the orange club, which following this renewal will run through the end of the 2028-29 season.
In his first full season in the EuroLeague, the Valencia Basket wing has become one of the team's offensive leaders with an average of 10.8 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists for 8.6 efficiency rating. Beyond a constant contribution of energy, intensity and defense that doesn't show up in traditional statistics but has been fundamental for Valencia Basket to qualify for the EuroLeague Playoffs as a top seed for the first time in its history. He recently set a new personal EuroLeague record with 20 points and 22 efficiency rating in the victory against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan.
Overall for the season, including his participation in the Liga Endesa and a standout performance in the Copa del Rey, Brancou has played a total of 60 games with very similar numbers to his European season of 10.4 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2 assists for 8.6 efficiency rating.
Badio arrived at Valencia in the summer of 2025 from Baxi Manresa, a team where he had already played under coach Pedro Martínez for three seasons. In the final stretch of his second season as an orange player, he has already accumulated 122 games wearing our colors and is close to breaking into the club's all-time Top-40 scorers list.
