The Uruguayan point guard and Spanish center sign for one more season with La Laguna Tenerife
La Laguna Tenerife will continue to count on Bruno Fitipaldo and Fran Guerra, who will face their seventh and eighth seasons, respectively, providing continuity to the competitive core of the black-and-gold team.
In six seasons at the club, the Uruguayan point guard has established himself as the fifth Canarian player with 216 games played in the Liga Endesa. He is also sixth in points scored (1,933), third in three-pointers made (335) and second in assists (761), only behind Marcelinho Huertas (1,562). As for international competitions, the Uruguayan floor general was instrumental in winning the Basketball Champions League in 2022, a competition in which he has accumulated 90 official matches, and in the Intercontinental Cup title won in 2023, with two games played.
For his part, the Gran Canarian center, who arrived on the island in 2019, is the sixth black-and-gold player with the most games in Liga Endesa (211), a competition in which he is also the ninth leading scorer wearing the Canarian jersey, with 1,396 points, the sixth who has captured the most total rebounds (689) and the fourth with the most offensive rebounds and sixth in defensive rebounds, with 239 and 450, respectively. Like Fitipaldo, he was a key piece in the previously mentioned titles, to which must be added another Intercontinental Cup, the 2020 edition. In total, he surpasses one hundred matches in international competitions wearing the black-and-gold jersey (97 in BCL and four in the Intercontinental Cup).
Bruno Fitipaldo and Fran Guerra, two pillars of our recent history who are faithful keepers of the club's philosophy and identity, will bring commitment, hard work and ambition to the 26-27 project.
