Bryant Dunston returns to where it all began. Olympiacos announced on Monday the signing of the American center for the 2026-27 season, eleven years after his departure and at age 40.
What He Left Behind
Dunston made his EuroLeague debut with Olympiacos in the 2013-14 season and spent two years at the club. In both seasons, he was named EuroLeague Defensive Player of the Year.
From that period also came the 2013 Intercontinental Cup. He then moved to Anadolu Efes, where he spent eight seasons, reached three Final Fours, and won continental titles in 2021 and 2022.
2025-26 Numbers
He arrives from Olimpia Milano, where he had a reserve role: 2.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks in 17 EuroLeague games.
Despite that role, he contributed to a dominant domestic season for the Italian club: league, cup, and supercup titles. He missed several stretches of the season due to injuries, including a fractured finger in March.

Dunston is second in EuroLeague history in blocks with 376. He is also sixth in offensive rebounds (687), eighth in total rebounds (1,630), eleventh in games played (381), sixteenth in cumulative rating (4,031), nineteenth in steals (280), and thirty-third in scoring (2,807).
It will be his fourteenth season in the competition. Last season he became the seventh oldest player to appear in a EuroLeague game, and with his next appearance he will move to fifth place on that list, with a chance to reach third place before the season ends.
A Career Across Half of Europe
His trophy cabinet includes league titles in South Korea, Greece, Turkey, Lithuania, and Italy, and national cups in Turkey, Lithuania, and Italy. He was also named to the EuroLeague All-Second Team in 2016-17.
He began his career at Korean Mobis Phoebus and played for Aris Thessaloniki, Hapoel Holon, Bnei Hasharon, and Varese before first arriving in Piraeus. After Efes, he played one season each at these clubs: Virtus Bologna, Zalgiris Kaunas, and Olimpia Milano.
