German big man will compete for Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos in the 2026/27 Liga Endesa season
Christian Sengfelder (28/02/1995, Leverkusen, Germany) joins the frontcourt of Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos to compete in Liga Endesa and the BKT EuroCup in the 2026/27 season. The 2.03m center arrives from his native country and brings experience in European competitions such as the Basketball Champions League and the EuroCup itself, in which he will continue playing next season with the Castilian club.
After developing at Bayer Giants Leverkusen and Ehingen Urspring in Germany, the player made the jump to the NCAA, the American college basketball league, where he was part of the rosters of Fordham Rams and Boise State Broncos between 2014 and 2018.
In the following season, Sengfelder returned to Germany's top division, where he has spent most of his professional career, with one season at Braunschweig, four campaigns with Brose Bamberg, and one with Telekom Baskets Bonn.
His first European experience outside his home country came at JDA Dijon in France, where he spent one season before returning to Germany with ratiopharm Ulm, where he averaged 10.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 1 assist for 11.9 efficiency rating in his last season. With the German team, he also competed in last season's EuroCup, contributing 10.2 points and 4.4 rebounds for an average of 10 efficiency rating.
