Kosner Baskonia has secured the services of Dewayne Stewart Jr on a two-year deal. D.J. Stewart, 26 years old and 1.97 meters tall, becomes the first signing of Paolo Galbiati's new project and arrives from Cedevita Olimpija, where he has played for the past three seasons.
The new Baskonia player, who began his NCAA career in the 2019-20 season with Mississippi State Bulldogs, made the jump to Europe four seasons later with the Slovenian team, Cedevita Olimpija, in the ABA league through last season.
This past season he averaged 12.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 14.4 efficiency rating in domestic competition and 13.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 14.4 efficiency rating in EuroCup.
With his arrival in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Kosner Baskonia incorporates a versatile player with scoring and rebounding ability and European experience. Welcome, DJ!
