FC Barcelona has reportedly made significant progress on signing Mike James for the upcoming season. According to El Correo, the Blaugrana have tabled an offer of €3.2 million through 2028 in an attempt to circumvent Baskonia's matching rights on the American point guard in the ACB.
James, one of the biggest names in EuroLeague in recent years, emerges as a top-tier option to strengthen Barcelona's backcourt. The operation, however, remains conditional on the status of his rights in Spain, where Baskonia retains the ability to match any offer if the player returns to the Liga Endesa.
Barcelona is looking to make a significant splash in the market with a differential player, capable of raising the competitive ceiling of the team from the perimeter.
