Barcelona has completed the signing of Tosan Evbuomwan for the next two seasons, according to Chema de Lucas. The British player, 2.05 meters tall and 23 years old, arrives as a physical profile piece to strengthen the new Blaugrana project.
Evbuomwan comes from American basketball and lands in Europe after moving between the NBA and the G League. In the 2025/26 season he started with the New York Knicks, where he played five games in a limited role, before moving to the development league and ending up with the Charlotte Hornets on a two-way contract.
Where he really had continuity was in the G League, with Maine Celtics, Westchester Knicks, and Greensboro Swarm. There he averaged 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists, establishing himself as a forward with the ability to produce, push the pace, and generate from both interior and perimeter positions.
His arrival at Barcelona also has an important nuance: he holds a British passport, so he would not take up a non-EU roster spot. He is a player developed at Princeton, with good basketball IQ, the physical tools to defend multiple positions, and room for growth in his first European experience.
He is not a household name, but rather a very specific bet: size, energy, versatility, and the ability to play as a small forward or power forward. Barcelona continues reshaping its roster and adds a young, athletic, and different profile for the perimeter and the power forward position.
