Olimpia Milano Strengthens Perimeter with Alec Peters

EA7 Emporio Armani Milan has completed the signing of Alec Peters, one of the best shooters in recent EuroLeague history. The 30-year-old American power forward, standing 2.06 meters tall, arrives from Olympiacos, the club where he has played the last four seasons and just won the EuroLeague championship.

Peters lands in Milan on a multi-year contract with a well-defined profile: experience, outside threat, and the ability to space the floor from the power forward position. In fact, he ranks fifth all-time in three-point percentage in the EuroLeague, with a 46% success rate, and has made 326 three-pointers over eight seasons in the competition.

Last season he averaged 7.5 points, shooting 41.8% from three-point range, and 2.8 rebounds in 43 games with Olympiacos. He also played a key role in the Athens Final Four, scoring 17 points in the semifinal against Fenerbahce and 16 points with 7 rebounds in the final against Real Madrid.

"It's an incredible feeling to join a club like Olimpia Milano. I see great things in Olimpia's future and I'm grateful to the club for wanting me to be part of it," Peters said after his signing was confirmed.

A product of Valparaiso University, Peters began his professional career between the NBA and the G League before making the jump to Europe. He has played for CSKA Moscow, Anadolu Efes, Baskonia, and Olympiacos, accumulating two EuroLeague titles in addition to national championships in Greece and Russia.

With his arrival, Olimpia Milano adds a proven, championship-winning player and specialist in outside shooting, set to be an important piece in the new Italian project.
