jun 10 2026Surne Bilbao Basket continues to move in the market and has set its sights on Wesley Van Beck, a player from La Laguna Tenerife. According to reports from Idoia Beitia, the Bilbao club is seeking to sign the American shooting guard for the upcoming season.
Van Beck arrived at La Laguna Tenerife last summer from Turkish side Petkim Spor, following a campaign in which he averaged 13.8 points, 3.3 assists and 2.6 rebounds between the Turkish league and the Basketball Champions League. Additionally, he shot a notable 45.2% from three-point range and was one of the most reliable shooters in the European tournament, with a 53.2% success rate in the BCL.
His possible arrival would allow Surne Bilbao to add perimeter scoring threat, European experience and scoring ability on the wing. The 1.92-meter player primarily plays the shooting guard position and would fit the Basque Country team's need to add points and shooting after the season's conclusion.
For now, the operation remains in the interest phase with no official confirmation from either club.
