Eli Ndiaye on Baskonia's Radar

Por ·

Eli Ndiaye could return to the Liga Endesa and Baskonia appears to be monitoring his situation. The center, developed in Real Madrid's academy and considered an ACB roster spot, needs to revitalize his career after a difficult spell in the United States.

The 22-year-old Senegalese player headed to the NBA in the summer of 2025 and signed with the Atlanta Hawks, though he was subsequently released. Injuries and lack of playing time have slowed his progression, and he is now in the Las Vegas Summer League, also with very limited minutes.

His ACB rights still belong to Real Madrid, but the white club does not appear to have a clear spot for him currently following the signing of Jaime Pradilla. That's where Baskonia comes in, seeking interior reinforcements and viewing Ndiaye as an interesting profile due to his age, mobility, roster spot status, and ability to play both near the basket and on the perimeter.

The operation could have an interesting avenue: a rights swap between Real Madrid and Baskonia. According to reports, the rights to Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot, who has signed with the white club, could be part of a possible deal for Ndiaye's rights.

For now there is no deal closed, but Eli Ndiaye's name fits what Baskonia needs: a young, physical center with room for growth who can help balance the team's roster composition.
