Dubai BC shows no signs of flying under the radar in its second EuroLeague season. After an inaugural campaign that already impressed with its financial muscle and market ambition, the Arab club is making bold moves again and threatens to become one of the biggest agitators of the European summer.
The elimination of AS Monaco in the playoffs appears to have accelerated several major moves. According to prestigious insider Andrea Calzoni, Elie Okobo will play for Dubai BC over the next two seasons, in a move that represents another statement of intent from the Dubai club.
The French point guard has been one of the most important pieces in AS Monaco's competitive growth in recent years, standing out for his ability to create plays, score from beyond the arc, and take responsibility in crucial moments. His arrival would significantly elevate the level of the Arab club's perimeter game.
But Okobo wouldn't be the only major move. In recent hours, an agreement with Jarod Blossomgame also emerged, one of the most solid small forwards in the entire competition. The American would sign a two-year deal worth 3.3 million euros annually.
With these signings, Dubai BC makes clear that its objective is not merely to establish itself in the EuroLeague, but to compete immediately against the continent's biggest powers.
