ASISA Joventut and Emir Sulejmanovic have reached an agreement for the next two seasons, with the Bosnian player signing through June 30, 2028. The power forward arrives in Badalona to strengthen the team's interior game and add intensity in the paint.
Emir Sulejmanovic (Srebrenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, 07/13/1995) is a 2.05m power forward who stands out for his commitment, competitive aggression, and ability to dominate the boards. He is a physical player, highly intense on defense, with the mobility to run the floor and offensive tools to create advantages both near the rim and from beyond the arc. His versatility allows him to play both interior positions, making him a complete profile and of great value to the team.
Sulejmanovic began his development at KK Koš in Sarajevo before moving to Slovenia and later joining Union Olimpija's youth categories. At just 18 years old, he joined FC Barcelona's academy before turning professional, playing for Cibona Zagreb, Montakit Fuenlabrada, Río Breogán, Surne Bilbao Basket, Lenovo Tenerife, Casademont Zaragoza, and Unicaja, while also becoming a regular for the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team.
The new ASISA Joventut player appeared in 48 official games for Málaga last season with Unicaja, averaging 6.4 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 6.8 rating points across Liga Endesa and BCL competition. It was in the 2024-25 season with Casademont Zaragoza where he completed the best campaign of his Liga Endesa career, averaging 13.7 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 15.7 rating points, finishing as the league's leading rebounder and establishing himself as one of Liga Endesa's most dominant interior players.
