The Turkish side had to rebuild the game after falling significantly behind on the scoreboard. Bayern Munich built a 16-point lead, controlling the pace of the contest for much of the matchup. However, Anadolu Efes gradually chipped away at the deficit over the minutes, eventually tying the score midway through the fourth quarter and setting up a wide-open finish.
The German team managed to regain the initiative momentarily in the final moments, but the last possession proved decisive. With time running out, Cole Swider received the ball and launched from beyond the arc to hit a three-pointer at the buzzer that gave the visiting team the victory.
