Olympiacos has reportedly decided to make a strong push for Jean Montero ahead of next season. According to Matteo Andreani, the Greek club will pay the player's release clause from Valencia Basket, valued at €500,000, to complete a strategic move in the EuroLeague market.
The agreement between the Dominican point guard and Olympiacos would be for three seasons, a move that confirms the European champions' intention to further strengthen their perimeter after winning the EuroLeague 2025/26 in Athens.
The information also suggests that Montero received up to seven different offers in recent weeks, reflecting the enormous interest his growth in Europe has generated. However, the player reportedly gave his final approval to Olympiacos' project.
