feb 26 2026ATHENS — Paris defeated Panathinaikos 99-104 on Matchday 29 of the EuroLeague after withstanding a 17-point fourth-quarter comeback and deciding the game from the free-throw line in the final moments.
The Greek side found itself down 17 points in the fourth quarter but mounted a furious comeback that cut the deficit to just two points, bringing uncertainty back to the OAKA. With 2.6 seconds remaining, Nigel Hayes-Davis had the three-pointer in his hands that could have changed the game's outcome in his EuroLeague debut with Panathinaikos. The shot didn't fall, and on the ensuing play, he fouled Justin Robinson.
The play resulted in head coach Ergin Ataman's ejection for protesting the officials' decision. Justin Robinson, composed from the line, converted three free throws that sealed the game and secured the 99-104 victory for the French team.
Nadir Hifi led Paris with 20 points and five assists, while Lamar Stevens and Jeremy Morgan each contributed 14 points. Justin Robinson finished with 13 points and seven assists, including a crucial three-pointer and the decisive free throws, and Leo Cavaliere added 10.
For Panathinaikos, Nigel Hayes-Davis posted 27 points in his EuroLeague debut, taking the offensive lead during the final comeback. Kenneth Faried added 17 points and five rebounds, T.J. Shorts nearly recorded a double-double with 14 points and eight assists, Cedi Osman contributed 12, and Nikos Rogkavopoulos finished with 10 points and eight rebounds. Kendrick Nunn did not play due to illness.
