The game was decided in the first quarter. Fenerbahce routed Bayern Munich 100-76 at Ülker Sports Arena after an opening period of 31-15, securing their second victory in two games.
A Dominant Start
The Turkish side came out firing and led by as much as eighteen points (31-13) before Oscar da Silva scored with two seconds left in the period to make it 31-15.
The second quarter maintained the trend and halftime arrived at 50-31. The game was already over.
After the break, Fenerbahce continued at the same pace and entered the final period with a twenty-four-point lead (75-51). Bayern improved in those final ten minutes—winning the quarter 25-25—but the deficit was already insurmountable.

What Gavel Said
The German head coach was direct in explaining the loss. He noted that his team couldn't match Fenerbahce's physicality, that Fenerbahce got into the paint easily and found open baskets, and that their inability to stop them on defense forced them to take difficult shots.
He also acknowledged that the fourth quarter was good, but by that point the game was already decided.
The Numbers
Talen Horton-Tucker led Fenerbahce with 19 points, followed by Wade Baldwin with 13, Marcus Bingham with 12, Nicolo Melli with 11, and Sertaç Sanli with 10.
For Bayern, Duane Washington scored 20 points and Rokas Jokubaitis added 12. The rest of the roster didn't reach eight points.
Where It Leaves Them
Fenerbahce starts 2-0 after also defeating Virtus Bologna in their opener. For Bayern, this is their first loss of the season, after winning in Sofia against Hapoel Tel Aviv on a Voigtmann three-pointer in the final seconds.
