Fuenlabrada relaxed with their lead in the second quarter, and with another avoidable turnover, the visitors took their first lead at 26-28. The disconnection continued in Iñaki Martín's team and Toni Ten's squad extended their advantage to 29-35 with two minutes left in the quarter. The home team recovered slightly in the final moments and went into halftime at 34-39, improving their performance in this quarter.
The second half started with another three-pointer from Granger to extend the lead. Iñaki Martín's halftime speech must have had an effect because the home team tied it at 42 with a 8-3 run. Flexicar Fuenlabrada maintained their positive momentum backed by their fans, but the score remained tied at 50-50 after a three-pointer from Omar Silverio. The third quarter ended with the score still level at 55-55 in what was shaping up to be a great derby between these clubs.
The fourth quarter started with a three-pointer from Vítor Benite that set the tone for this decisive final period. The home team maintained the rhythm their coach set and took control 64-60 with an impressive Prince Ali reaching 17 points. Flexicar Fuenlabrada continued to pull away on the scoreboard at 69-60 with a basket from captain Daniel Manchón. The home team's final quarter was a masterclass in defense from Iñaki Martín's players and an offense dominated by Prince Ali, who was having a stellar performance.
The derby was not without controversy, with a technical foul decision that was heavily disputed after Romaric Belemene was called for a technical and fouled out at 69-64. Despite the officiating not favoring the home team, the play on the court did, and with a final score of 77-70, the home team won. Prince Ali led the way with 20 points, crowning himself king of the Fernando Martín.
With this victory, Flexicar Fuenlabrada advanced to the playoffs against Súper Agropal Palencia of Natxo Lezkano, who will have the home-court advantage.
