Frank Ntilikina is coming home. The French point guard has signed with Paris Basketball, as confirmed by the club on Wednesday through a promotional video featuring a conversation between the player and Nadir Hifi.
The return carries symbolic weight. Ntilikina left France in 2017 when he departed Strasbourg after being selected eighth in the draft, and has not competed in the Betclic Élite since then. He left as a young prospect; he returns as a European champion.
From the NBA to Continental Glory
His American stint included 321 regular season games and fifteen playoff games, split between the New York Knicks and the Dallas Mavericks, before he decided to cross the Atlantic in 2024. Since then he has worn the jerseys of Partizan and Olympiacos, and with the Piraeus club he has just won the EuroLeague.
With the French national team he has two Olympic silver medals, credentials that carry as much weight in the Paris locker room as his club resume.
A Renewed Project in the Capital
The club presented him playing with nicknames: the French prince joining the prince of Paris. The idea is to complete the perimeter game alongside Hifi, Tyson Etienne, and Sebastián Herrera.
Ntilikina leads a major overhaul under new head coach Max Lefevre. Also arriving are Alize Johnson, T.J. Warren, Maozinha Pereira, and Terry Tarpey, who join returning players Jared Rhoden, Joel Ayayi, Daulton Hommes, Mouhamed Faye, and Jeremy Morgan.
