Historic Liga U Final Six Brings ACB Flavor to Burgos

El Plantío will crown the first champion in the competition's history from May 15-17, with a final phase featuring up to 18 players who have already debuted in the Liga Endesa

From May 15-17, the Polideportivo El Plantío in Burgos will host the Liga U Final Six, an event that will determine the first champion in the competition's history and will bring together Barça Atlètic, Burgos Grupo de Santiago, Casademont Zaragoza, Real Madrid, Gran Canaria, and Fundación CB Canarias.

Beyond the fight for the title, the final phase will have a distinctly ACB flavor. Up to 18 players from the six qualified teams have already experienced their debut in the Liga Endesa, and furthermore, all the teams competing in Burgos will have at least two players with previous experience in the top category.

A further testament to the level that will be on display in the final phase and the role Liga U is already playing as a stepping stone to professional basketball.

The Final Six will thus bring together some of the most promising names in Spanish basketball, several of them with a presence this very season in the Liga Endesa.

Yet another example that Liga U doesn't just look to the future: it's already coexisting with the present. This season, 40 players from the competition have gone on to play minutes in the ACB, and 5 more have been included in rosters for their respective first teams.

Additionally, 13 of the 15 clubs participating in Liga U have turned to players from their sub-22 structure this season, strengthening the bond between the competition and the elite of Spanish basketball.
