Irati Etxarri Confirmed as Second Player for Movistar Estudiantes 2026-27 Roster
may 12 2026Irati Etxarri (1.89 m, 1998, Pamplona) will continue as part of the Women in Black for the 2026-27 season.
Etxarri boasts an extensive career in Spanish and European elite basketball. The power forward has played for Kutxabank Araski (2016-2018), Cadí La Seu (2018-2021), Spar Girona (2022-2024) and Lointek Gernika (2024-25), before joining the university club. Additionally, Irati has been regularly called up to the senior national team over the last three years, winning a silver medal with Spain at the 2025 Eurobasket.
In her first season wearing the Estudiantes jersey, the Pamplona native has played 42 games, averaging 6.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in Liga Femenina Endesa.
These were the words of Isaac Fernández, the new head coach of Movistar Estudiantes: "Continuity is always positive. Irati, given her characteristics, will give us pace, rebounding on both ends of the floor and will allow us to combine the different pieces of our interior game."
Irati Etxarri becomes the second confirmed player for Movistar Estudiantes' 2026-27 roster, alongside Carla Osma.
