Isaac Vázquez (Ourense, October 10, 2004) is Bàsquet Girona's new player through the 2029-30 season. The 1.93-meter point guard/shooting guard arrives from Club Ourense Baloncesto (COB) after completing notable progression in recent seasons.
Developed at Bosco Salesianos in Ourense, Vázquez played two seasons in the Liga EBA before joining Club Ourense Baloncesto. In his first season with COB, he was loaned to Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa in the Segunda FEB during the 2024-25 season. With the Leonese club, he competed in the promotion playoffs to Primera FEB, accumulating experience and playing time in a demanding competition.
This past season he made his Primera FEB debut with Club Ourense Baloncesto. In the 32 regular season games he played, he averaged 7.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, with an average rating of 10.1. His versatility in perimeter positions, playmaking ability and defensive intensity make him a future-oriented addition with significant room for growth in Bàsquet Girona's project.
Statement from Fernando San Emeterio, Sports Director:
"He's a player whose main characteristic I would say is his basketball intelligence. He can play both point guard and shooting guard and stands out for his excellent passing ability. He brings a lot of energy to the court, is capable of creating plays for his teammates, attacking the paint and is also a good defender. We believe he fits perfectly with our style of play. A player who, with humility but also determination, has been working and overcoming stages throughout his career, from Segunda FEB to reaching the ACB. We are convinced that, with daily work, he has significant room for growth and great potential to continue evolving".
