Jabari Parker is back on the market. The American small forward and Partizan have agreed to terminate the contract that bound him to the Serbian club through the end of the season, as confirmed by the club itself. The departure comes one day after Joan Peñarroya's team defeated Crvena Zvezda in the Belgrade derby in overtime.
The outcome was only a matter of time. Parker had not been in Peñarroya's plans since the summer, when he returned to Belgrade after his loan spell at Badalona, and the Serbian press was already talking then about the club wanting to get rid of a contract worth around €2.5 million. Partizan, which has just signed Antonio Reeves and is close to closing Robert Franks, thus frees up an important roster spot.
From star at Barcelona to player without a place
His time at Partizan, where he arrived in June 2025 on a two-year contract, never worked out. In the first half of the 2025-26 season he played 15 EuroLeague games with 7.7 points and 2.5 rebounds in 19 minutes on average, far from the level he had shown at Barcelona. In February he left on loan to Asisa Joventut, where he rediscovered his best form: 12.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in 14 Liga Endesa matches.

At Barcelona he was a very important player for two seasons. In 2024-25, the best of his European stint, he averaged 13.9 points and 4.1 rebounds in EuroLeague and 13 points in Liga Endesa, shooting 48.3% from three-point range. The 2nd overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft, he is now free to sign with any team.
