Joventut returned to winning ways after defeating Recoletas Zamora 71-61. Fabián Téllez's squad recovered from last weekend's loss at Ardoi and now sit in a privileged position in the Liga Femenina Challenge with four wins on their record. A dominant second quarter performance of 25-11 proved decisive in the contest. The game also marked the debut of Portuguese player Raquel Laneiro in Joventut colors.

The opening of the game was hotly contested by both teams. Recoletas Zamora's defense prevented Joventut from deploying their game effectively. In these early stages, poor shooting percentages from three-point range hurt the Badalona side.

Past the midpoint of the first quarter, Zamora's squad established themselves in the paint and with a strong Andrea Hernangómez (6 points) took the first lead (13-19 at the 10-minute mark).

The second quarter was clearly dominated by Joventut. Fabián Téllez's team began to run and score from outside, with Paula Saravia delivering excellent minutes (5 points). An outstanding Andrea Hernangómez (10 points) kept Zamora in the game. At halftime, Joventut led 38-30.

Recoletas' second-half start was noteworthy, as they managed to close the gap on the scoreboard. But it proved to be a mirage. Once Joventut got back on track, they pulled away again. Points from Eliise Tedder (11 points) extended the lead to 55-42 for Joventut with ten minutes remaining.

The final quarter lacked much drama. The Zamora team, with only eight players on their roster, appeared somewhat fatigued in these closing stages, and Joventut managed the lead very well. Final victory for the Badalona side, 71-61.
