Jusuf Nurkic to Stay with Utah Jazz on $22 Million Contract

Bosnian center Jusuf Nurkic intends to sign a new two-year, $22 million contract to remain with the Utah Jazz, according to Shams Charania.

Nurkic, 31, joined Utah last season and fit well into Will Hardy's system, where he regained prominence as a starting center, facilitator from the post, and rebounding anchor.

In the 2025-26 season, he appeared in 41 games, 36 as a starter, averaging 10.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 4.8 assists, while shooting 50.3% from the field.

His season ended early due to nasal surgery, but his performance convinced the Jazz to keep him as part of a revamped roster with room for growth.

The agreement confirms the strong chemistry between player and franchise. Nurkic will continue to be an important piece for Hardy, particularly for his experience, ability to facilitate from the center position, and physical presence near the rim.
