Luca Vildoza is now a Partizan player. The Argentine point guard signs a two-year deal with the Belgrade club, adding another striking chapter to a European career marked by heavyweight clubs, titles, and high-profile moves.
The move carries significant competitive intrigue. Vildoza has already played for Crvena Zvezda, Partizan's great rival, and also spent time at Panathinaikos and Olympiacos. With his arrival at Željko Obradović's team, he becomes a highly unusual case in European basketball: a player who has worn the jerseys of four giants with fierce rivalries.
The Argentine arrives from Virtus Bologna, where last season he averaged 7.6 points and 4.4 assists in 31 EuroLeague games. Additionally, he was the competition's leading steals leader with 1.4 steals per game, a stat that well summarizes his ability to impact play on the defensive end.
Partizan is bringing in a point guard with experience, character, and EuroLeague pedigree. Vildoza needs no introduction: he was Liga Endesa champion with Baskonia in 2020, played in the NBA with the Knicks and Bucks, won titles in Serbia, and lifted the 2024 EuroLeague trophy with Panathinaikos.
His best recent stretch came precisely in Belgrade with Crvena Zvezda, where in the 2022/23 season he posted 12.6 points, 3.9 assists, and 1.4 steals per game in EuroLeague play. That season he was named Player of the Month in December and re-established himself among the continent's most impactful point guards.
Now he lands at Partizan to provide direction, offensive threat, quick hands, and savvy. He doesn't arrive as a prospect for the future, but as a ready-made player to compete now, in a project that continues adding heavyweight pieces to reclaim prominence in the EuroLeague.
