Río Breogán will continue to count on one of the coaches with the most extensive track record in Spanish basketball's elite. Luis Casimiro Palomo, from Villamayor de Calatrava (Ciudad Real), will complete his third season in charge of the Lugo team in the upcoming 2026/27 season.
With a career that recently surpassed 800 games coached in the ACB—which keeps him as the third coach with the most games in Liga Endesa history—the La Mancha coach arrived in Lugo to take charge of the team in the tenth matchday of the 2024/2025 season. He managed to turn the team's fortunes around and secure a comfortable stay in the league after a difficult start to the season.
Luis Casimiro will thus complete his third consecutive season in charge of the Río Breogán bench. The Río Breogán coach has managed numerous teams and among his achievements stand out an ACB League title in the 1997/1998 season with TDK Manresa, as well as an Endesa Supercup with Gran Canaria in the 2016/2017 season.
