Leyma Coruña continues building its roster for the 2026/27 season with the signing of Lithuanian wing Lukas Uleckas (Kaunas, Lithuania, August 6, 1999).
Standing 1.99 meters tall and capable of playing both small forward and power forward, Uleckas joins the orange team after establishing himself as one of the most complete and versatile players in the Lithuanian league. He stands out for his defensive intensity, rebounding ability, and excellent court vision, while also providing balance and versatility on both ends of the floor.
An international for his country at youth level and developed through the prestigious Žalgiris Kaunas youth academy, the Lithuanian grew within the club's structure until making his debut with the senior team in the 2018-2019 season and competing in EuroLeague matches.
Subsequently, he gained experience across several teams in the same Lithuanian league, the LKL, until his breakthrough in the 2024-25 season with BC Šiauliai, where he averaged 11.5 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 2 assists per game, establishing himself as one of the best national small forwards in the competition.
In the most recent campaign, he played for Juventus Utenos, where he continued his progression and became one of the team's key players. His per-game statistics were 12.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists. Additionally, Uleckas participated in the Basketball Champions League in five of the last six seasons, including the one that just concluded.
Welcome to the club and to A Coruña, Lukas!
