Valencia Basket has reached an agreement with Spanish point guard Mario Saint-Supéry (1.94m, Málaga, 14/04/2006, 20 years old) to join the men's first team for the next four seasons, through June 30, 2030. The Spanish international returns to domestic basketball after his NCAA stint to play under head coach Xavi Albert.
In a context of continuous talent exodus to American shores, the Andalusian player has seen Valencia Basket as the perfect project to continue developing his career, choosing to finish his college years and return to Spain to showcase his abilities at the highest competitive level. Saint-Supéry arrives with positive feelings from this American adventure, where he has averaged 8.6 points and 3.8 assists with a rating of 11.
An Early Trajectory Climbing the Ranks
Developed through Unicaja Málaga's youth categories, Saint-Supéry amazed the Spanish basketball landscape by becoming one of the youngest players to debut in the Liga Endesa and Basketball Champions League at just 15 years old. After standing out in his formative years, continuity came in the form of a loan to UBU Tizona Burgos, where he averaged 11.8 points per game with a 46.5% three-point shooting percentage and 11.9 rating per game.
His progression caught the attention of Baxi Manresa, in another loan from Unicaja that gave him the opportunity at the highest level, and the player proved the jump was not too big for him. 33 Liga Endesa games averaging 8.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists for a rating of 8.5. Regarding rating, he reached double digits in up to 15 games, with his best performance being 24, which he achieved on two occasions. With the Catalan team he also had the opportunity to play in 12 Basketball Champions League games, in which he scored 16 points with a rating of 18 as his best performance.
His notable growth caught the attention of American universities, which invested heavily in his recruitment. In his first year in the United States, the point guard adapted quickly to become an important piece, scoring and distributing the ball, with numbers of 8.6 points on 40.3% three-point shooting and 3.8 assists for an average rating of 11. That constant evolution will now continue wearing orange.
Generational Talent with Spain

Climbing the ranks at lightning speed through the Spanish National Team's youth categories, the Málaga point guard was crowned MVP of the U-16 European Championship in 2022, averaging a spectacular 21.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game while winning the silver medal. A year later, he repeated the medal at the 2023 U-18 European Championship. His meteoric rise reached the international stage in November 2024, when he debuted with the Senior National Team at just 18 years and 7 months old. Since then he has established himself and has accumulated 13 caps, an impact reflected for example at EuroBasket, where he averaged 8.2 points and 2.8 assists per game.
