The American guard parts ways with Kosner Baskonia after more than four seasons with the club and following the Copa del Rey championship victory.
Kosner Baskonia and Markus Howard have reached an agreement in which the shooting guard from New Jersey departs the Basque club and will begin a new professional chapter away from Vitoria-Gasteiz.
Markus Howard arrived in the Álava capital in the summer of 2022. Since then, he has worn the Baskonia jersey in a total of 244 official games across EuroLeague (130), Liga Endesa (109), Copa del Rey and Supercopa (5) and has been one of the Baskonia captains over the last two seasons. The guard departs as the 2026 Copa del Rey champion, as the second all-time three-point leader in Baskonia's Liga Endesa history, and as the player who has made the most three-pointers in a single season in EuroLeague history.
Commitment and character embodied a Baskonia player who leaves Vitoria-Gasteiz having built a lasting legacy with the club.
