Anadolu Efes makes a strong move in the market and has reportedly closed a deal with Matthew Strazel, one of the most promising French point guards in European basketball.
According to Alessandro Luigi Maggi, the player will leave AS Monaco to head to Turkey, where he will sign a three-year contract worth €4.5 million. The operation would also include the payment of a €500,000 buyout clause by the Turkish club to release the point guard, who still had a contract with the Monegasque club until 2028.
Strazel, a French international and key piece in Monaco's perimeter rotation, would thus take a significant step in his career with his arrival at an Efes side looking to strengthen their playmaking and regain prominence in European elite basketball.
If officially confirmed, the move would represent one of the most notable signings in the continental market, both for the player's age and the length and financial volume of the agreement.
