Max Heidegger Joins Burgos as Combo Guard for Liga Endesa Stretch Run

American guard with Israeli passport signs with Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos for the final stretch of the Liga Endesa season

Max Heidegger (05/06/1997, California, United States) has joined the roster of Recoletas Salud San Pablo Burgos to compete in the final stretch of the Liga Endesa ACB season. The 1.91m American combo guard holds an Israeli passport and has experience in Spain's top basketball division.

The player began his career in the NCAA, the American college basketball league, where he was part of the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos from 2016 to 2020. In the following season, he moved to Israel, signing with Maccabi Tel Aviv, which loaned him to Bnei Herzeliya.

Heidegger joined EWE Baskets Oldenburg (Germany) in the 2021/22 season, when he faced San Pablo Burgos in the Basketball Champions League. After his stint with the German club, the combo guard moved to Merkezefendi (Turkey), from where he would join Baskonia, a team with which he played 17 Liga Endesa games, averaging 8.8 points (49% from mid-range and 38.1% from three-point range), 1.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

In subsequent seasons, the player has been part of the rosters of Windy City Bulls (NBA G League), Reyer Venezia (Italy), Turk Telekom (Turkey) and Bnei Herzeliya (Israel), where he was playing this season, with averages of 15.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
