Anadolu Efes has pulled off one of the biggest moves in the European market with the signing of Mike James. The Turkish club announced the arrival of the American point guard on a 1+1 season contract, adding one of the major figures in recent EuroLeague history.

James arrives after another standout season with AS Monaco. In the 2025/26 EuroLeague, he averaged 16.5 points, 6.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 0.9 steals, maintaining his status as one of the continent's most impactful playmakers.

The point guard, 2024 EuroLeague MVP, was also named among the 25 greatest players in the competition's history in 2025. Additionally, he won the Alphonso Ford Trophy as the league's leading scorer in 2019 and has been selected multiple times to EuroLeague All-Star teams.

His European career speaks for itself: Baskonia, Panathinaikos, Olimpia Milan, CSKA Moscow, AS Monaco and now Anadolu Efes. He also had NBA experience with the Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Pelicans and Brooklyn Nets.

For Efes, his arrival elevates the project to a new level. The Turkish club had been making aggressive moves in the market, and now adds a top-tier offensive leader—a player capable of deciding games and taking over the ball in crucial moments.

Mike James is not just another signing. It's a statement of intent from Anadolu Efes to compete at the highest level in Europe once again.
