Moses Wright Signs with Olimpia Milan After Breakout Season at Zalgiris

Moses Wright has found his next EuroLeague destination. The American center has signed with Olimpia Milan after completing an impressive season with Zalgiris Kaunas, where he established himself as one of the competition's most productive big men.

Wright, 27 years old and 2.07 meters tall, arrives in Italy at the peak of his European career. Last season he averaged 13.2 points and 6.5 rebounds in 42 EuroLeague games, shooting 63.4% from two-point range with a 17.1 efficiency rating. Additionally, he finished among the league's leaders in rebounds, blocks, and efficiency.

His time in Kaunas was more than just statistics. He was a key piece for Zalgiris that reached the EuroLeague playoffs and won the domestic double in Lithuania, capturing both the league title and the cup. Throughout stretches of the season, he served as the interior reference point, punishing opponents near the basket, running the floor, and protecting the paint.

Among his most notable performances was a 25-point game against Hapoel Tel Aviv and another night with 16 points and 18 rebounds against Paris Basketball, which allowed him to post his best EuroLeague efficiency rating with 43 credits. Both nights earned him recognition as the Matchday MVP.

Before his breakout at Zalgiris, Wright had already gained experience at the highest level with Olympiacos, a club with which he reached two consecutive Final Fours. He also played in the NCAA, NBA, G League, China, and Turkey before establishing himself permanently in Europe.

For Olimpia Milan, his arrival means adding a center in his prime—athletic, explosive, and highly efficient. A big man capable of finishing above the rim, rebounding, intimidating opponents, and bringing energy to a paint that needed a reference player of this profile.
