DENVER. The Minnesota Timberwolves mounted a dramatic comeback to defeat the Denver Nuggets 119-114 in the NBA playoffs, evening the first-round series at 1-1 before heading to Minneapolis. Anthony Edwards, with 30 points and 10 rebounds, led the visiting team's rally after trailing by 19 points in the first quarter.

The start was entirely favorable to the Denver Nuggets. The home team came out with offensive aggression, dominated the paint, and quickly built a 44-25 lead, creating the impression they could secure a 2-0 series advantage. Jamal Murray, once again brilliant, set the pace from the opening tip and punished the opposing defense.

However, the Minnesota Timberwolves responded forcefully in the second quarter. The visiting team adjusted their offense, found better opportunities near the basket, and answered with a 39-25 run to erase much of the deficit. Just when it seemed Minnesota would head into halftime ahead, Murray appeared with a spectacular shot from beyond half-court at the buzzer to leave the game tied 64-64 at the break.

After the intermission, Nikola Jokić elevated his offensive game and kept Denver afloat in the third period with 14 points in that stretch. The Serbian star finished with 24 points, 15 rebounds, and 8 assists, keeping the Nuggets in an increasingly demanding contest.

But the Timberwolves would not relent. In the fourth quarter, Jaden McDaniels reclaimed the lead with a decisive dunk and Donte DiVincenzo extended the advantage on the fast break following several Denver misses near the basket. The Nuggets managed just one made field goal over nearly five minutes, an offensive drought that proved decisive.

Denver still responded with a three-pointer from Aaron Gordon with 78 seconds remaining and another dunk from Jokić to stay alive. Jamal Murray, who finished with 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists, then had the chance to force overtime but couldn't find the rim. A final easy dunk from DiVincenzo sealed the visiting victory.

Beyond Anthony Edwards' stellar performance, the Timberwolves found support from Julius Randle, who posted 24 points and 9 rebounds, while DiVincenzo added 16 points.

The victory allows the Minnesota Timberwolves to regain home-court advantage and avoids a historically difficult 0-2 deficit for the franchise. The series now travels to Minneapolis, where the Nuggets will look to respond and the Wolves will attempt to capitalize on their momentum.
