LeBron James Sets Historic NBA Record with 1,612 Regular Season Games

LOS ANGELES — LeBron James reached 1,612 regular season games played and became the player with the most games in NBA history, surpassing the record he shared with Robert Parish. The milestone underscores the extraordinary longevity of the Los Angeles Lakers small forward in his 23rd season in the league.

The record was officially established when James started in the Lakers' game in Orlando, breaking the tie he held with the Boston Celtics legend. The achievement comes at a time when the wing continues to expand a historic list of records he already dominates in the NBA.

Among the records he already holds are most points scored in history, most seasons played, most minutes played, most All-NBA selections, most All-Star appearances, most field goals made and attempted, as well as leading in playoff games and points and the highest cumulative earnings in the league.
