The opening of the game showed an aggressive Orlando Magic team, with offensive rhythm and physical dominance near the basket. Paolo Banchero set the tone from the start, scoring points, grabbing rebounds and creating constant advantages. Alongside him, Desmond Bane punished from beyond the arc and in mid-range situations to sustain the home team's offensive production.

Detroit Pistons resisted for much of the first half thanks to the talent of Cade Cunningham and the contribution of Tobias Harris, although the Magic led at halftime 61-54. The game was already charged with tension, with several hard fouls and technical fouls that reflected the physical tone typical of highly contested NBA playoffs.

After halftime, Orlando Magic accelerated. Franz Wagner appeared with important baskets and Wendell Carter Jr. dominated the paint on both ends of the floor. With 8:34 remaining, the scoreboard showed a promising 96-79 for the home team and it seemed the victory was in hand.

However, Detroit Pistons reacted with character. Cade Cunningham stepped up, Tobias Harris found open spaces and the visitors put together a devastating 26-8 run in just six minutes to turn the game around. A free throw by Cunningham with 2:52 remaining gave Detroit its first lead of the second half and momentarily silenced the arena.

When the game seemed to slip away, Orlando Magic responded like a mature team. Paolo Banchero regained control, the home defense raised its level and the Pistons had no offensive answer. The Magic closed out the game with a decisive 9-0 run that decided the contest and allowed them to regain control of the series.

Paolo Banchero delivered a complete performance with 25 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists, falling just short of a triple-double. Desmond Bane added another 25 points, while Franz Wagner contributed 17, Jalen Suggs provided 15 and Wendell Carter Jr. completed tremendous interior work with 14 points and 17 rebounds.

For Detroit Pistons, Cade Cunningham led with 27 points, backed by Tobias Harris with 23, although the visiting effort was not enough to recover the home-court advantage.

The Orlando Magic, who had to overcome the NBA play-in tournament just days ago to stay alive, are now two wins away from an unexpected upset against the East's top seed.

Game 4 will be played again in Orlando, where the Pistons will attempt to even the series and the Magic will look to put the matchup firmly in their control.
