The transfer of young European talent to the NCAA will continue to grow this summer, and Michael Ruzic will be one of the next names to make the jump. The Croatian power forward will leave Joventut at the end of the season to join LSU Tigers, according to reports from Javier Maestro.
At 19 years old and standing 2.08 meters tall, Ruzic has long been considered one of the most promising pieces at Penya. After a previous season hampered by injury issues, the power forward has regained form during the 2025/26 season, showing significant improvement in his game and earning increased minutes in the green-and-black rotation.
In the current ACB season, he is averaging 6.7 points and 3.8 rebounds in 18 minutes per game, along with a 38% three-point shooting percentage. His mobility, ability to space the floor, and facility for producing both near the basket and from outside positions have caught the attention of American college basketball.
The player still has a contract with Joventut, so his departure will need to be resolved through a buyout clause or an agreement that allows the Catalan club to retain his European rights for the future.
