Nick Ongenda Joins Manresa to Strengthen Paint

Kids&Us Manresa has announced the signing of Nick Ongenda for the upcoming season. The Canadian center, with a South African passport, signs a one-year deal and arrives to bolster the interior game of the Nou Congost squad.

Ongenda, 25 years old and 2.11 meters tall, comes from Hapoel Haemek, where last season he averaged 10.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. His numbers reflect the profile Manresa was seeking: size, presence near the rim and ability to produce in the paint.

Developed at DePaul Blue Demons during his college career, the big man has also played in the G League with Salt Lake City Stars, in Canadian basketball and in Europe, where he played for Anwil Wloclawek before his stint in Israel.

Manresa thus incorporates a physical center, mobile for his height and with the ability to play above the rim. A profile designed to bring height, rebounding, toughness and energy to the rotation of the Catalan team's interior.
