The 35-year-old Mirotic is finalizing his exit from AS Monaco following the financial crisis affecting the Monegasque club. In that scenario, the player would not be opposed to returning to the Palau, where he lived one of the brightest periods of his European career.
Barcelona is looking for a top-tier piece to elevate the project, and Mirotic would fit perfectly into that profile. During his four seasons as a Barcelona player, he was the team leader, won two Liga Endesa titles and two Copa del Rey trophies, and was named EuroLeague MVP in 2022. This past season with Monaco, he averaged 11.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 31 EuroLeague games.
